greater pet chance???

so its a % chance depending on the food u give it right?
can i change this? like can i make it 100% chance of getting a greater pet no matter what i feed it?
do i need a mod or can it be done with server settings?

Yes, depends on the food and your luck. No, you can’t change the rules.
No idea about mods but I think you might be able to spawn a greater animal pet via admin. You can also spawn babies and keep taming them in your pens until you get what you want.

i always have bad luck with pretty much everything so i could spawn a million of these things and never get a greater 1

I almost always get a greater on the 5th or 6th animal so it's worth it to keep trying if it's something you like. I suggest filling the taming pen to full every time.

Generally Shadespiced foods are best for getting Greater variants. Goes up to 26% I believe.

50% for a Frostwolf cub fed Shadespiced Fatty Meat, but it's 40% for just Raw Pork or 35% for human flesh... so Shadespiced isn't really necessary in their case. And they're cute, too. :)
