God mode VS Demi God mode?

So whenever I access the Administrator settings, I see the options for god and demi god. If I were to tick one of these, what are the differences between them? What do they do exactly?

godmode is that you are invencible against all damage except crossing the borders of map or falling under the map or bugging yourself, demi god is just u heal instant but i think fall damage dont apply to that.

So neither has any effect on hunger and thirst? I know there are options for those, just wanted to make sure they'd still drain if I ticked God or Demigod mode.

yeah you will still get hungry and thirsty. they're adding a real creative mode in 3.0.
