While the Isle of Siptah DLC will add some stuff to the normal map (nothing that gives an advantage, unless you count the ability to ride rhinos an advantage), it is mostly its own separate map.
You can gift armours, weapons and placeables from the dlc to friends if you own them and they dont -- that's very different to how the stuff you can get from the bazaar works.
Look Wiki for pictures of different armor sets and look for dlc tags if armor is base game or dlc.
You can also watch youtube videos of different building sets by watching example Lyumilights building videos. They are almost all done in DLC building sets and with added ingame bazaar shop building pieces bought in game so they are not accurate presentation what you can build in base game without DLC.
I would say buy base game + siptah expansion and if you really like the game and especially building aspect of it then buy more DLC later.
