How do I get steel/ hardened steel DLC Armor and Weapons.
Im still walking around in heavy iron armor because there is no information in game on how to upgrade. And information on the internet is hard to validate as the game constantly changes and updates and a lot of info isnt true anymore. Please help, thank you

DLC weapons only have iron and epic star metal versions. When you are in the steel and hardened steel ages, you will need to spend feat points to learn base game steel and hardened steel weapons. (or hunt witches for epic weapons)

DLC armors only have the basic and epic versions, but the again so do the base game armors.

This is so the DLC is not Pay-to-Win.

1. the normal way is to make steelfire ( https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Steelfire ) in a firebowl cauldron (alchemy) out of tar and brimstone. Tar you get easiest when as a side product of your tannery, brimstone you find for example much in the cave of Sinners Refuge ( https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Sinner%27s_Refuge ). Put Iron and steelfire in the oven --> steel ;

for hardened steel you need black ice (https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Hardened_Steel_Bar ), the black ice you get in and around the frost temple ( https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/The_Temple_of_Frost )

or

2. easiest way to get steel is capturing sorcerers and bring them to the headhunters. You get Obuli as a reward which which you can buy supplies. In these supplies are big numbers of tar, iron, steel, ... (RNG), atm easier then farming iron and crafting steel.

Alright I might not have been as clear as I should have. I know how to make steel and hardned steel, I just dont have the recipe to craft dlc armor from it. And thats what i wanna know.

Thanks to everyone who responded already.

You need to buy the dlc first, and you have the recipe if you unlock the Armorer skill. That is all.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

If you want to keep the appearance of your expensive DLC armor, you can follow the steps to learn sorcery, and then use the crafting bench that comes with it to apply the appearance of your DLC armor to your better armor as an "illusion." The illusion does not expire.
