Armoured Animal Pen

I'm using 0 mods, it's an vanilla game, and animal's are disappearing in my Armoured Animal Pen when they've grown up. I've looked online and other people had the same issue. Earliest I've read is from 2019 so this is a long ongoing issue, how come this happens? I read because if it's going to be a greater hyena, it just vanishes?

Yes, it's a known issue. Unfortunately Funcom has been very, very slow to fix some of the bugs and issues with this game and others go unresolved even years after they've been reported. Some problems have been around since launch while others, like this, have been hanging around for several years. It's unfortunate, and frustrating, that they don't spend a little more time and effort fixing problems with the game.

Unfortunately, the solution to work around this is simple but annoying. Don't waste your time training hyenas.

i agree. if you have the level to built an armored pen, you surely can get more efficient pets.
I favor Greater Bears that you can easilly get giving honey to cubs and start with more than 4000HP. You can get 4 cubs with little effort on the small island in the Highlands just after getting out of desert/jungle biomes.

I've been quite dissapointed with Greater Wolves/Tigers. Greater Sabertooth are fine, but lifespan is small.

Thanks for advice. I did try again and it's only when the hyena's seem to grow into a greater does it vanish. It is annoying that this issue has been going on a couple of years but they still can't be bothered to fix. I even read on their forums with I think a developer replying? He replied on 6th of January this year and it says:
