best armour for cold resistance

i was wondering what the best armour is for resistance from the cold, its a pain trying to explore the snowy area as i cant explore for very long before i start dying from the cold.

I go get the legionary shield called Solspel. It has a plus 4 cold protection. It spawns in randomly in the legionary chest. Must wear shield in hand or it doesn't work. Not sure, but Nordheimer armor seems to be the best. You can get warming food recipes to also stay warm. Recipe can be found at the Mitra temple scaffling. P.S. invest 5 points in survival to get 1 bar in temp.

There are two shields one for cold one for heat. There are also a few sets you can get access to craft that give hot and cold bonuses. God Breaker armor you can choose each piece heat or cold resist bonuses. I ended up mixing pieces from that set and a couple others as time went on for their other bonuses like repairing legendary weapons. In the end you can have a set that will be useable anywhere in the game.

For the really heavy stuff I used the simple armor reduction kit and reduced the weight 60%. Armor was above 1200 when using the right thrall to craft it.

I am wearing redeemed black legion and heat/cold is not a problem. I also have both shields — Mistmourn and Sos-something.

Black legion is still the best. Godsbreaker is too heavy so I gave it to a thrall.
