Food effect for thralls
I'm not too clear on this one. I know they don't need food to live, first and foremost :-)

So, is the bonus provided by food a bonus to their current stat or a bonus chance if they level up?
And do they regen life faster with food or not?

It's a boost to the chance at level up. It's always a good idea to keep food on your thrall that'll boost the stat you want most for them until they're max level. Refer to the wiki for which food gives what stat bonuses: https://conanexiles.fandom.com/wiki/Thrall#Feeding

And it does also regen life faster for them, at different amounts depending on the food. According to the wiki, exotic feast is the best healing food for human thralls at 10 hp/s, while cooked pork rinds are the worst at 1 hp/s. Gruel is a generally good food to give your fighter thralls, as it gives a 14% chance boost to strength at level up and gives 6 hp/s.

Certain foods also provide a temporary boost or penalty to current stats. Gruel gives +10% to strength and cooked pork rinds give +25% to strength. I haven't seen any of the stat penalty foods myself, but I have heard there are some that can give -10% to strength also.

Actually, I thought it depended on the server settings as to how long a follower can go with no food before they 'decay'?

That's very informative, thanks a bunch Makoto! There are some ways to optimize here :-)
