try to find PvPvE servers where pvp limited in time
I dont understand how it has 8k players (only steam) but the most populated server is 23/40 and every other server has 4/40.
So weird.
MOST PEOPLE PLAYING THIS GAME DO NOT PLAY ON SERVERS.
seems like most are not playing at all lol
Game isnt dead.
These forums are run on a certain type of "moderation" that is very similar to a "help desk", meaning they manage it as if they actually do not want people to talk in here, so most of the time, the only people talking is the people who have something they will say "no matter what". It is kinda selecting for negative takes.
If you go where communities are built, not watched like criminals, there is a very active and numerous number of players sharing works of art, experiences, and mostly with a positive overview of the game.
I like to post in general here for "entertainment value", but originally I just came here to post about my mods in the workshop section. Same about the funcom forums or reddit, because they all work the same type of "community building" or lack thereof.
Another really interesting thing is: The hispanoablante (spanish speaking) and other non-english communities do have a much brighter outtake of the game. And in those more specific forums you have some people who goes complain in english because they are not taken very seriously around there.
Overall, "out there" there are plenty of good feelings towards the game, the only thing is that in some places, these things are not "popular", so people only talk about the problems and make some "stupid" takes because it gives them "likes".
Also the reason most good servers with nice admins and good vibes are private (as in they do not let strangers in, not as in "not official). The toxicity of a certain chunk of the community is deemed a necessary "spread" by some people, who are not happy on having their own bad experiences, they want everyone to look at the game from their bitter point of view.
The servers are the same because the server list is funcom's.
Among the various marketplaces, Conan Exiles has around 16k average peak individual players per day, in sessions that average 1.25h.
For the majority of the players to play in servers, it would require that the total population of servers were over 8k average peak per day in any given day, but it is not.
If you go to websites that track stats of servers, you will see they are even much less than "half".
So I dont need a degree in statistics to know it is like that.
But you would see around the forums evidence enough that people who want to play a server game style would not much of "prefer" play this game, because among its counterparts, it is the most atrocious to play on servers.
However, a fun fact: By steam stats, most of the days, Conan Exiles beats the average daily peak of No Man Sky.
They also need to let you make fatties without mods on servers but I will settle for non-Battleye.
So yeah non-Battleye official servers please!
(btw - I am not saying you are wrong; however, to blatantly just throw out statements as 'facts' without anything to back them up, other than an opinion, is just as bad as biased news urinalists stating their opinions or political pov as 'facts')
Also, dont give any credence to the AI bot that I replied to earlier. It's AI generated ramblings are nonsense and hypocritical. Example: it claims to be a 'mod maker' and it turns off the fatality system when it plays the game but... then criticizes other players for not playing Conan Exiles the way Funcom intended them to... Shameful
