Bat Demon Bastion - Bug ?

Hello everyone.

I can't find the answer anywhere so I'll try here. On the Isle of Siptah the “Vault Raider” journey refuses to validate the exploration of the Bat Demon Bastion.

We've searched every nook and cranny and killed the boss numerous times and nothing happens.

Is this a bug or are we missing something?

Have you seen the orb there after killing "the" boss ?

And I think you havent seen enough if you did not saw the video on the YT which shows how to do it they way it can be done "now".
Things to consider: For bp, Admin interference is dodgy, not everything, but most things having admin on wont count.

I watched a video on Youtube and the objective is validated as soon as the "boss" dies. The two of us tried again yesterday and still the same problem: no validation.

Yes, we looked at the orb and opened the treasure chest before acquiring the armor recipes and heading out.

And nothing either :(

Normally journey steps only fail to validate under two circumstances, first, you haven't set the journey to be active when going for the stage, second, you've missed a previous stage. By the sounds of it though this is not the issue, so i would suggest, activating a different journey then swapping it back to vault raider and clearing the bat vault again.

I suppose it could also be a simple mix up about the clearing correct vault, I think there is only one for for bat demons, but there are other bipedal winged demon things so if you've entered the incorrect vault that would explain your lack of progress.

I've been somewhat busy earlier in the week so I wasn't able to test it, but I had some free time today and it was working perfectly fine, if you're still having this issue then I don't know what else to say.

I think the journey steps are broken in the same way challenges are in AoW Ch4. If more than one player damages the target creature (in this case, the bat boss) NOBODY gets credit for it. You'll have to kill it solo if you want to advance the journey.

Well, while loot and other stuff like that might be "justifiable" to share, I dont really think they are wrong in demanding a solo kill for the achievement.

I have to disagree.
When playing with a friend, it's normal to want to do content such as dungeons and vaults together, and that includes killing the boss together. There's nothing in the presentation of the journey step that mentions having to kill it alone, so it's confusing to the players when they don't receive credit for performing the step.

I haven't played Siptah before they changed the journey system, but I know the Dungeon Delver journey in Exiled Lands was at least granting credit to everyone who damaged a boss in Chapter 3. That's why I think this is some bug introduced with the changes to the challenges in Chapter 4.

I would agree they invalidated their opinion by the very comment they made that you can not disagree with them. I seem to be having the same issue, the Bat Demon Bastion is not triggering for some reason. I'm guessing it could be due to the Bastion being "Discovered" while the Journey was not active.

A solution to this would be to have certain journeys as always active, because some players may not think Oh I need to activate this Journey before I enter this area. I would admit the Game story is very difficult to follow.

I mostly end up ignoring the story and build up my settlement, and if i progress in the story it is purely by accident.

You are aware this post dates back to the 2nd of May. The last reply, before yours, was the 30th May. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then.
