Final Breath of the Red Mother

Heads up, I think I encountered a new bug (?).

A couple of days ago I noticed that the legendary torch which I had in my inventory for years was missing. I thought I accidentally misplaced it when looting something (which would’ve been really strange). It was a big loss but oh well. I had another one in my stash, from the days when I was farming the Red Mother 24/7 so to speak, so I equipped the new one. Today when I logged in I found out that this torch is also missing.

Also, yesterday I was in the Unnamed city farming bosses and decided to kill the Red Mother, hoping she drops the bow (yeah I know).
When I delivered the last killing blow the dragon just disappeared. Blinked out of existence. I left the area, came back… nothing. Once again, left, came back and there was a small loot bag which I almost missed and which contained some useless (to me) junk.

Anyway, I was thinking, could these two issues be connected somehow? Or do I need to craft an epic tinfoil hat, take my meds and just use the admin panel to spawn another torch whenever the game decides to steal it?

Uhm, well, you see, there are some missing details, like, did this happen while playing single player or on a server?

I play single player only, unmodded except for KPL (lvl300).

As it is single player, go into admin mode and spawn another one in and see what happens. Bodies of slain enemies have been known to disappear quickly for some reason, not so much items in my limited time playing the game.

Perhaps they just live up to their name and take their last breath and disappear.
