Craft stuff, too. Practically everything you do gives some XP.
Yep, gorillas and grey apes are really easy to kill and give decent XP.
You sure the pick still works on plants? They changed things around recently and it seems that most plants can only be harvested with the sickle or by hand. Axe, pick, pickaxe doesn't seem to work on bushes anymore, for example.
Edit: I tested it just now, both pick and sickle works on lotuses and give the same amount of flowers.
- vulcano dungeon too
- nameless city, lots of undead
with good equiped thralls non of the above should be a problem
Interesting, and thanks for testing it out. I tried a pick on several plants and it did nothing but I haven't tried it on the lotus. It's such a strange change that we can't use a hatchet or a pick on a bush anymore but we can use a pick on a lotus flower. "Funcom Logic" at its best, I suppose, just like eggs decaying way faster than they should, the current loot tables including a ridiculous amount of decorative items, combat being a complete mess, ridiculous changes to attributes and perks, the poorly designed journey system, the bazaar and the battle pass that no one wanted, dozens of 5+ year old bugs that haven't been fixed yet, etc.
youll also need a decent weapon to fight the frost giants or youll have to avoid them and watch your encumbrance
I remember when rushing the old journey steps was a good way to hit level 20 in a short amount of time. :)
I really miss the old journey system - but not for that reason. I miss it because having to constantly switch journeys is annoying. If I discovered and fully explored the Dregs but didn't have that journey active it won't give me credit so I have to go back there to do it again. It's ridiculous.
Yep, they could have, and should have, left it alone.
What they ought to have done was make a few basic, and completely optional, tutorials for new players that have NO REWARD other than "now you know how to do this thing." There should be NO reward items for completing journey steps that magically appear in our bags, and NO crafting unlocks should be hidden behind journey steps. All crafting unlocks should be earned in game by spending knowledge points or by finding the relevant item, NPC, etc.
