Question about the new castle in the deserts

Is the new castle suppose to infinitely spawn in new defenders ever 2 to 5 minutes? Do the spawns stop if you destroy every tile?

I've not been able to destroy any part of the castle but the doors, and I've even reset the Serverconfig.ini, thinking it might have been a mistake in some of the difficulty settings.

But the castle doesn't even go down for me. Oh yeah, and aside from slowly building up and sometimes disappearing mid-raid and slowly reappearing, the defenders spawn every 20 seconds now.

I've read and seen a video that you need to cheese this, aka, you climb the walls, climb up a tower, and breach into the castle to kill the Boss, and only the Boss.

Aka, instead of a raid, where you fight your way in past the defenders, killing them all the time, you fight 50ish enemy Thralls that constantly respawn.

That's not a raid, that's just castle defense 3D with a little bit of Conan added to it.

My friend whose running the server got sick and tired of all this. We found a trebucket with infinite explosive ammo and some star metal works against the walls themselves. But the defenders are constantly respawning.

I tried infinite normal bombs, only took down the doors, but the walls didn't budge.

Sadly the whole thing respawns rather quickly, and the loot is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥ anyways.

You rarely need 9000 gold coins, and if so, you can make them yourself in a short bit of time without a headache.

On test the defenders were supposed to respawn when every player left the area. That appeared to be how it worked as I could clear the are as I worked towards the boss. Haven't tried it since it went live.

The spawns are infinite, yes. But they stop in the area once you pass to the next.

Lost two great thralls bc of the infinite re-spawning. We knocked down all three of the main gates with trebuchet stone ammo (7 hits each) then slowly made our way in... the infinite respawning, especially those archers, caused my two thralls to agro and go inside the first set of walls. Couldnt recall them and they died - couldnt even retrieve their items bc of the respawning. GRRR

I do believe this is a bug (at least I hope). Guess I wont be storming the castle until after mi-Jan when they release their next update

I've been testing a lot of things related with this castle. It is breakable, but it takes a lot. It took an ton of explosive jars to be able to break parts of the castle. So many that it is not really a feasible strategy. A trebuchet is also able to break the walls and various parts of the castle, again, it takes quite a bit of ammo

As some have mentioned, you can just find spots where you can climb in. There's actually a spot right at the front gate, where you can then quickly find a battering ram

Most of the spawns happen right at the first gate. Once you're deeper in, you don't need to deal with as many respawns. The problem is follower thralls are dumb, and they will keep fighting respawns till they die unless you really baby them

Due to the infinite respawns and how quickly they respawn however, I find it very easy to exploit for other means. Such as follower XP farming and a really good way to get tons of hardened steel by looting the massive amount of weapon drops and dismantling them

Is there any way to just "delete" it from the server? I play single player and I almost crash just to get close to it, don't even tryed to get in coz it's unplayable for me =(

there was mod that removes whole castle but i dont know if it still works
EDIT: i found it, its updated so probably works you can try it
