he asked for worker thralls. The barkeeper is a special toon to be set behind the bar, not a thrall in the usual way.
The special thralls had anyways no special (better) abilities anymore; just the rarity to have them; But yes, now you can only find them by RNG running the spots afaik.
Aaaaalright... Then the wiki is outdated, since e.g. for the smelter it still says that a T4 purge one has +150% speed, while the "normal" T4 one has only +100%.
Well, new asgard isn't that far away from my current base, sounds like I have to do a few more purge runs on them and hope for the missing t4 thralls.
As an example they gave, instead of putting a smelter thrall in the smelter slot (like an inventory item), you'll be 'setting' them at the station instead (like the tavern).
I don't know what this means for the future of wheels of pain, or if both systems will co-exist. It's not something they've talked about yet (as far as I'm aware).

For the wheels of pain, I don't see any problems here right now. it could still produce "items" that needs to be placed once, in order to interact with them in the intended way. That's how it works right now with combat thralls. Therefore, at least from my understanding, there's nothing that's forced to change, in order to go further the bartender approach.
For the road to go itself, I got mixed feelings. especially with the new purge system, it makes sense. But on the other hand it will make moving from one base to another even harder, since you can't put all your crafter thralls into the horse and carry them over in one go.
