Cimmerian Berserker = Minimum Thrall.
The key to fighting Arena Champ is this: Dont get hit.
Use a good short sword, and use the light attacks only, this will stagger her and you will use very little stamina swinging it.
Be always ready to dodge any attacks...your steel thews perk should keep you from getting 1-shotted anyway.
If you are solo, you will probly not have time to debuff her, its too risky as she will be coming at you if she isnt staggered.
takes around 5-10 minutes like this.
I would suggest light armor for this method (because youre not going to be taking damage anyway)
"Best way to block kick is dont be there"
-Mr Myogi-
recommend weapon are 2h hammer , penetration & dmg , targeting , stagger.
The trick with the arena champion is not to be hit at all - if you get hit you will take massive damage no matter what armour you're wearing. She telegraphs her strong attacks fairly well so they can usually be avoided by rolling or dodging out of the way. I'd suggest light or at most medium armour with a weapon (or weapons) that have a fast attack speed. Short sword or daggers that have bleed and / or poison are all good options. I would strongly avoid using big, slow weapons because they will leave you open to being hit.
You could use a couple of thralls as a distraction / meat shield I suppose but you would have to accept that they are almost certainly going to die.
Ummm :) She has the most armor out of literally ANYTHING in the game... 18760 armor.. which is 97.4% damage reduction..
Her health isn't too much though (2625), since it got cut in half with age of war (used to be 5250 in AoS)
Which is why high armor penetration weapons (blade of seven winds if you have it) can absolutely wreck her or damage over time effects like bleed and poison, because they ignore armor.
However with the AoW changes she can also be staggered endlessly like people said so that's also an option.
Keep in mind that atm NPCs are... weird... to say the least (unless you're using my combat fix mod) so with the constant "target-lock" -like tracking, she's a tiny bit more annoying than in the past if you're used to fighting him and are trying to dodge some of her hits.
Can confirm this is possible but could be tricky if solo. I went in there 2 days ago with another player and we basically stun-locked the champ for most of the fight, we only took a couple hits. I was using a mace which gets decent armour penetration, and punch daggers which can cause bleed so I feel like that helped a bit, too.
Best might be using a poison dagger or shortsword and an agility build. Just don't get hit, the champion hits like a T-Rex.
Or hit hard, hit fast with heavy armor penetration and knock down, keep hitting then get away.
Toe to Toe is practically suicide.
She is obviously nerfed but her Champion Armor is one of the best and I assume she still hits like a truck. Give your thralls venom-infused weapons (I recommend a war axe for added bleed) because she has a weakness to poison. The recipe is found in the Library.
Use your thralls as a distraction only. You are the one who is expected to do the actual killing.
She has very little hp and you can stunlock her, poke with spear or daggers.
Your thrall will finish her easy.
Killed her over 1k times and died only when i got to greedy, each fight is 20 seconds, take one thrall, full authority and stunlock her.
good luck
If you want to learn Champions armor recipe, you can also bypass her by hugging the right wall after entering her room to get to the side tunnel where the recipe is without pulling her aggro.
She's kind of pointless to fight with, she only drops couple of armor scraps, not really worth losing your thralls and equipment over that.
Yeah not sure what I was thinking of there. Lots of armour, not all that much HP. Definitely agree that the BoSW is the weapon of choice. To be fair I haven't fought her since the start of chapter 3 so the NPC attacks changing direction mid-swing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ may well make her more of a challenge than she was before.
No armor.
Totally possible to kill her, just got to dodge a lot and run away after she gets too close.
