Can I 2 player co-op this without PvP?

PvP is optional. You can do co-op on one person's PC with a teather, or on a public or private server.

Actually, it's "tether", this means in a CoOp game (no server) the invited player can't move too far away from the game host.

How far would they be able to move away? And what if I use a 3rd computer to host, would I have to pay for a server?

Not too far, like you can't go to separate parts of the map or if the host enters / leaves a dungeon the other one gets dragged with them.

Anyway, you don't even need a 3rd computer, if your gaming PC is decent enough you can just host on the same machine using their free server software, here:

Tether makes your coop partner a bodyguard basically, you would need to host a PvE server or join an already one however people hate vanilla and have like 50 mods so be prepared.

a 12 player clan without pvp, unless 9 ov your are super interested with decoration will find themselved befret of challanges, to be honest

there is a massive amounts of of people renting severs that wouls love to have you
