How many thralls can you have as followers (including better thralls mode)?

I recently came back to the game (single player) and I have seen that I can't get more than 1 thrall to follow me. So, how does it work now? Thanks.

In the Vanilla game? One, normally.

However if you have 20 points in the Authority stat you can have two.

You can also have a Horse following you, the Horse won't fight though, unless you're sitting on it. (However, it is extra storage).

By default you only can have one thrall follow you.
Once you have 20 points in Authority and you select the War Party perk you can have 2 thralls follow you.
With Better Thralls being a mod, the limit will be whatever the mod makers what's the overall max to be, a server I'm on the the thrall follower count is 7, 6 from BT and a bonus one from the War Party perk.
BT overrides the original default you can have before War Party.

In BT there's an admin option that has 10 as the max cap. By default it's set to 3.

You can access the mod-options in "TAB", on the far left of the screen.

There's plenty of mods providing up to 1000 followers... potential crash

One.

If you have war party perk from Authority, Two. (general consensus is that well-trained is better though)

If you have sorcery, you can have three zombies following at same time, but zombies are not regular thralls. Also with war party this increases to four zombies.

In each case, mount does not count. You can always have a mount following you.

To sum it up and add:
Usually 1 pet OR thrall. You can choose the equipment of the thralls.
You can always have a mount with you that does not fight but runs away. You have the option of mounted combat.
Unlock the Authority War Party Perk that gives +1 (combine thrall + pet OR two of the same type). If you have a (human) thrall, you can have a second one this way.

BUT:
If you have unlocked a specific Raising Zombie power through sorcery, you can initially have 3 thralls, with the War Party perk adding an additional one! So, 4 thralls (unique to sorcery) are possible at the same time. The ability to resurrect sacrificed corpses comes at the cost of not being capable of using equipment on them apart from food. But they are really strong if you do it the right way ;-). Use Sherpa of any tier to maximize HP and reroll Bonus Perks via Elixir of Rebirth. Also unlocked via sorcery. .

Plus: You can still have another summoned Demon follower unlocked through sorcery, which makes it possible to have 6 thingies at once following you! 5 fighters, 1 mount.
You can never have two of this special summoned Demons at the same time, even with War Party activated.
Another combination would be: Mount, thrall, pet and Demon.
Nontheless I would recommend using only 3 Zombies and get the status bonus perk instead of War Party. They get in the way of each other, yeah...

If you do not the limit is 1, if you do you can have 2 thralls.

click on follower tab, it should tell you how many followers you're allowed

For solo/one person clan the default max is 65. Each additional clan member adds 15 to the max.
