Save time on exit?
Hey folks! I'm playing single here and I've noticed that every time I exit the game and then continue playing it - the time is always set to 12 even if I exited at night-time..
So is there some option somewhere to make a game save current time of the day on exit?

Not that I know of, but if you're in a SP game when you load your save you can always use the admin console to set the time of day to whatever you want, so you could simulate time passing continuously.

Game time does not matter in the SP game. It functions the same way the MP version does. With the SP game, your rig acts as both the client and server. When you exit the game and pick up a new session, it starts the clock over.

ok, but somone would like to continue playing where they left off, if they logout at night, the game should start you off at the same time you logoff right.
i know the game reset the time, but why there is zero reason for, why does it not save, it can't be that hard. anyways personally i does not fade me, but i can see why other like it saved.

Not sure this will solve your problem, but look under Settings >> Server Settings >> Day / Night Cycle. Try un-checking Use Catch Up Time.

You're probably right, if I recall correctly "Catch Up Time" starts you at noon every time you log in unless it's been disabled.

Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what I do... It's just so annoying to remember what was the time when I quit and then set it back the next time you feel like continue playing :(

It DOES matter if you are RPing like me here ;)
I've already got that it starts the clock over every time, thank you.. But WHY?!! I mean is it so hard to store the current time on exit?

This was the first thing I tried. And no, it doesn't help. And BTW, the default setting of this catch up time thing is 10 o'clock, not 12 to witch game resets every time.

Nope. First of all it starts you at 10 o'clock, not 12. And second - I've disabled it at the very beginning.

Well, if it was catch up time it used to start you at 12 noon by default. If it's not starting you at noon then something's been changed, maybe the default is now 10:00 a.m. and I've seen a few posts indicating this may be the case. It also shouldn't be re-setting to "on" every time if you've turned catch up time off.

This wiki entry talks a bit about catch up time but it still mentions 12:00 not 10:00, however when I checked my config file it seems to default to 10, not 12.

I guess you could go through your config files and make sure the set up time is set to false in each one. Before doing that may be verify your game files to ensure something isn't messed up. I'd also check your config files and make sure they aren't set to read only, if a config file is read only then your changes wouldn't save properly and that could be what's going on.

It's not catch-up time. That would keep your time constant until the server time "caught up" to you. As mentioned above, SP is running a server. When a server is started, or restarted, the time is 12:00. So when you open your SP game you are starting a server.
