At the Mountaineers location, east of Sepermeru, D7 or D8? There is 1 giant rocknose boss spawned. 300 meters from its opposite side is a smaller version of it, it looks as if its glowing or sweltering, that one has either a guaranteed or very high chance to drop one or two harvests of Raw Ash when harvested with pick or pickaxe.

Try a sickle on the living magma mentioned above. Or wait a couple weeks for AoW Chapter 2 and farm skeletons.

No, Living Magma. Looks like a mini-Rockslide. A one skull but a pretty easy kill.

And if you don't mind cold but are afraid of the heat, there are some obsidian nodes along the Road of the Pilgrim before you get to the actual volcano.
