Its weird though, because she runs with 10-20 more fps than i do.
Try removing all background programs and web browsers when playing, optimize memory with utilities or just upgrade your config.
The only problem with computers, it can offer maximum experience, but it is not bug free. Have fun with your games
Thank you for the suggestions and your time you put into replying. I appreciate it.
several other objects in exiles extreme may cause this error. try to remove(dismantle) the wall decoration type objects first, so you dont have to destroy all your work.
edit:
theres nothing wrong with the gpu, its fine. theres no setting on your user side that will cause this error. (unless you made a mod incorrectly)
the mod is causing the pc to make a call to the gpu incorrectly and it loses synchronization with the gpu, causing this crash.
note, you have more mods which may cause this same type of error, or the previous error on line 805 rendering thing.
Honestly, I wish anything in exiles extreme were the problem. I haven't actually used any items from it yet. The only thing i could *think* might be causing it is the pieces in GCam that allow you to place pillars on corners. I did notice some strange things happening with that. When i would leave the area for a while or relog, my pillars i placed with the item would be pushed up slightly so i had to remove the pillars. Might have to tear down my floors to see if i missed any and see if the crashes will stop. Its been happening to my wife more but I've gotten a few myself occasionally.
Good to know it may be an item causing it, though, and thanks for the warning about that specific item in Exiles Extreme.
Vanilla Pillars, or modded Pillars? If the mod creator set the x,y,z axis via blueprint and not via their 3D modeling software, it will cause it to shift on relog.
In either case, at worse the only cause of that would be a stability loss of structures if the Pillars mesh/collision wasn't intersecting with the floor and the above structures relied on those Pillars. It wouldn't cause a crash though.
If by setting you mean the graphics settings in the game menu, then sure, it is "unlikely" related. Still possible though. But if you are claiming that no GPU can cause a Direct3d error in UE4 and its ONLY mod related, then that's just flat out not true.
To get it, right-click the game in Steam, select Manage -> Browse local files
In the folder that opens go to ConanSandbox\Saved\Logs and there they will be, the latest one is always ConanSandbox.log
When you restart the game it'll get renamed with a timestamp in the name and and main log started from blank again, which is why you need to grab it after a crash before restarting the game, or find the corresponding timestamped one.
Upload it somewhere like pastebin.com and post a link.
yw. sry i guess your circumstance is different + with another mod. thats unfortunate.
but there is a problem in the mod that accesses that specific area. its also no good if you're not the server admin and can't make changes.
I think it woul dhave to do with a mod that perhaps adds decoration type objects but it could be an issue with any object.
didn't ask. go forum pvp with your friends maybe.
This is not about "forum pvp".. you're using free content that somebody sacrificed their free time to create.. so the least you could do is show some respect by not spreading myths about ANY mod, unless you're certain of it and can provide evidence. It can be extremely damaging and it's a good way to get mod authors to quit, which I'm guessing is not what you are trying to accomplish, seeing as you're using mods...
Even if you think you're certain, the best course of action is to go and report it to the mod creator... and work with them to get to the bottom of it.
They're individual hobbyists and not "companies" with PR staff and whatnot and search engines index these pages... So even 2 years from now somebody having a random crash could be directed here and will have a negative bias towards the mod you mentioned, even if in reality it had absolutely nothing to do with the crash.
We can check the logs when they post it though if there's any leads on it.. but based on the error itself, a mod causing the issue is highly unlikely, since this is a generic error related to display driver faults / software conflict like antivirus or instability from overclocking.
And yes, it can obviously be triggered by certain effects and GPU functions, but the instability or issue already has to be present on the system.. otherwise every single person using the mod would be crashing.
All I'm saying is... be considerate before pointing fingers, not everything is as it seems.
Cheers!
