And about sacreficing a thrall ... i dont see the problem ... i sacrifice weak thrall anyway.
Never seen the mount turn aggressive. Pretty sure it just disappears if the timer runs out. The demons will turn aggressive though.
At any rate, all of the summons are basically intended to be cannon fodder and suicide mission material. Don't want to risk your high level thrall? Call up a demon, mount a summoned horse or rhino and charge forth. Need to shore up a weakness in your base defenses for an imminent purge and don't have time to gather and train thralls/animals? A small zombie horde might do the trick.
no can confirm the mount will attack you when time is up. and the thrall sacrifices is indeed a non-issue that's not why i hate them, the time is just to low to be any good use imo.
would want that, not sure if the conan universe allows that type of sor "not that into the lore" but yeah i sure wished the sor stuff was more combat focused. the summoning system is very bad imo, its cool to see and do for sure, but in practice very bad gameplay wise.
and is because of all that i mainly use it to recover my dead body and to teleport around.
I agree
Not done anything srocerous yet but from what I read they did put some thought into how to make sorcery feels kinda fitting and most of all different as opposed to generic (element/energy)tossing. Which I think is a very, VERY good thing. They should have put some time into playtesting and thought into making it a meaningful addition (and maybe have a less murderous branch; requireing maybe rare material or similar sacrifices instead of people) before releasing though.
But they had to roll out the gamepass money printing press and that was the only sugar they had to coat that poison up with.
Actually, at least as far as the official forums are concerned, most people were very much opposed to typical high fantasy sorcery. They didn't want the common MMO scenario where you have gobs of people running around tossing rapid fire fireballs and shooting lasers from their eyes and such. They wanted to keep the sorcery at a low fantasy level so it fits the Conan universe better.
Thus the spells are more utility focused.
I'm not a big conan guy but from my understanding there isn't really magic like that, magic is more communing with a powerful entity to do things or alchemy
