I cannot complete three Journey steps for some odd reason

With or without mods, I could not complete the following Journey steps; Farmer: Place or Access a Crude Planter, Purge Defender: Convert a Purge Thrall, and High Priest: Assign a High Priest.

I have turned off mods, and nothing changed from that angle. The farmer step should be easy, simply place or access a crude planter. I did both, no change in the step. So, no clue why this is not working.

Converting the purge thrall...might not be completed for various reasons. For example, is it looking for specific thralls that only appear during purges and spawn no where else? If yes, that would explain why I have not completed it yet. Another reason could be that, due to other similar steps completing when I PLACED thralls in my wheel(s), I could not complete this step using thralls that were placed in the wheels BEFORE the step was available, will test that out when the next purge.

As for the High Priest step of assigning a high priest. The step seems to not recognize any of the priests I already had at the time as "high priests" despite them being T4 priests. Even went out and caught a new one, and that one also did not update the step. Even went so far as to capture a T1, T2, and T3 priest. Yet, not one worked.

Any ideas as to why none of these work, or, is it really that the journey steps are just that bugged at the moment. As it stands, these are the only steps I have left to complete for the entire thing.

Any constructive ideas would be welcomed. And no, "it works for me" is not constructive at all. That does not help. Not everyone experiences the same bugs in a game.

I am having issues with the Farmer journey as well. Same step and all. Thought it could be a mod, but seeing that disabling them didn't work for you I'm not sure what it could be. Could be a bug since the new update? Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

I was able to complete the 'Placing Crude planter' last week. No mods.

I might need to turn my mods off again. Could be that I thought I turned all of them off but missed one in my rush?

I'd try it anyways, it could be a mod after all. Due to the number of mods I normally have active, I could have been in a rush to deactivate them all and missed one.

Honestly? I think they need to revert to the old journey steps that could be completed in any order. This new system is absolute rubbish and I didn't want this change. I want the game to go back to pre-sorcery. There's not one new system or mechanic that I want.

I read that the high priest step actually requires a T4 priest, though I've not been able to see that for myself. For what it's worth, I got credit for my crude planter step by accessing an improved planter, though I didn't try a crude planter first.

I got fed up with trying the same journey step over and over or doing ones that I already did before activating that particular list.

For those I started using the command: JourneyCompleteStepForCurrent

A lot less aggravating.

I just got this game and i'm already stuck on the craft a stone weapon journey step...
Whatever stone weapon i craft, it just doesn't work.

I've tried the T4 priests, did not complete. Try using the improved planter? I think I tried that already, but, I can always try again and see if anything changed.

1. The only cheating I could do playing PVE is cheating myself out of enjoying a game.

2. Finding a way to do something that the game is suppose to do and doesn't is not cheating.

Abuse of game mechanics in a way they are not meant to be used is still a form of cheating. As using commands is not how you are supposed to do things in a game. But, in this case, one could see it as a form of fixing/overcoming a bug, so, it is in a grey area.

Update: Decided to try the Improved Planter to pass the Crude Planter, and it worked...lol

I got the high priest to work by placing them directly from my inventory into the empty thrall place in the altar. It didn't seem to work if I was replacing one already there. It also didn't work if it was taken from the altar inventory.

The farmer one I got to work by placing a fresh improved planter instead.

I however cannot do the archer final step, or the strength and agility weapon ones.

Actually it's my fault. I didn't unlock the warrior or bruiser skill tree. Thought i did, but no.

hm....I'll have to try placing a new altar and try that.

And yeah, the improved planter worked.

You cannot get credit for a bow kill? I'd suggest trying to use a standard hunting bow maybe? I used a star metal bow and got credit for killing someone. I'd also suggest not shooting the head or legs for the kill Just the body. Or are you talking about the sharpshooter step of shooting something in the head?

Agility weapons one? You mean rogue? That can be annoying, you have to use any weapon that can apply poison. Such as the venom infused ones. And deal enough damage to easily get max poison stacks without killing the target. This can be hard to do if you are targeting low level targets. But, when they have a very slim sliver left, you have to stop attacking and let the poison kill.

That's the best I can come with for those.

Yeah, I've tried 9 bows and every arrow combo under the sun. I've killed dozens of things, powershot or no, head shot or no.

And I can't even get credit for the FIRST step of warrior and rogue. You know, kill something with a strength weapon, kill something with an agility weapon.

I'm pretty sure I only have those 3 and the (untried as of yet) purge journey left.

Hm...word of warning about the Purge Defender journey. Due to how it has things, you will want to knockout TWO thralls during a purge (good luck on that!), as, due to the steps order, there is a chance that if you only ko'd one and put them in a wheel for one of the steps, due to the second to last step, you will have to wait for another purge. Of course, you can avoid this by hauling around one unconscious thrall the entire purge. But, that can be dangerous, not just to you, but, the thrall you are hauling.
