Report a translation problem
ps: you could try all over the place to get to the portal, who knows its only a smal bit screwed out of place... then again it could be half a map away "and i don't actually mean the objects but the entire map shifted so the cords are not where they need to be kinda problem.
It can also mean that you are not standing in the correct position.
Same, I've only ever had this be a problem if I'm in third person. If I switch to first person, and am standing in the middle, it always works for me. As an added benefit, first person makes aiming at the right stone a lot easier in multi-base maps.
