lightning rod head

Hi. I did some test with golems, but I didn't find any information or use about this head and his potential use. Can someone explain how it work ? ( I used the lightning spell near it but it didn't do anything so I am confused).

They're potentially useful for PVP and for the second wave of the new dungeon, where a sorcerer attacks you with lightning spells. I don't think your own spell can hit your own followers (at least in PVE), although an exception should probably be made here. Lightning doesn't know that the lightning rod belongs to your friend.

Lightning storm will prioritize the golem instead of other targets (they're immune to lightning storm damage otherwise), essentially offering some level of protection to your base

Other than that, when it gets struck by the lightning storm spell, It's supposed to randomly throw a lightning strike back at enemies infront of it that does a decent amount of damage (nothing crazy, like a really good weapon hit) with a 10 minute cooldown.
But this feature is disabled atm for technical reasons.
