you get to fast everything and you wont lose anything cause you can claim it back.
in CE you need pvp to lose your stuff.
PvP in this game is fine as long you dont get raided. An active pve-c server is more fun than pvp only with raiding.
so yes, pve in this game becomes very fast boring.
(I realize that's a difficult concept that most seem to have trouble wrapping their heads around). But, that's what "Open Worlds" are all about, right?
But some just had to have it and they got what they wanted.
It just wasn't what they expected. (Be careful what you wish for).
The map itself really isn't that small. It is roughly 25 square miles in size.
They already have an MMO under their belt, so they have a the template for putting together some good team play and making some challenging repeatable encounters.
The last time we played, just three of us, not even healing each other, limited to vanilla stats, gear and one thrall, we each could beat any so called "dragon" or dungeon encounter easily.
Doing this will also delete your character
Don't see the point.
Level up a little faster the next time? You still have all your gear waiting for your new character. Levelling doesn't take long.
You and your friends think it's too easy and boring?
You and your friends haven't discovered the meaning of fear and dread.
That fear you feel when you and your friends hesitate .. knowing that what you're about to face off with can and will certainly kill you. The dread of knowing your precious base is about to come under a purge attack in waves .. that you cannot defeat and you will lose everything to it and either die in the process or stand off at a distance and watch helplessly in fear of being killed in it in trying to intervene.
If you're not too cheap to take a chance, rent your own server.
Most cases, all it cost for a full year in advance is about the cost of 1 week's worth of groceries. Definitely less than one of your car payments (considering today's costs).
(Share the cost of it between your friends if that's what you can agree upon .. which I doubt. You'll find out who your true friends are and you're not going to be happy about it).
Then, tweak your server with custom settings.
Just to wet your appetite, set NPC damage output to 5 and player damage taken to 5.
I can guarantee you that you can make it so suicidal that the only way you can survive is to be in god mode.
You haven't lived until you have lived in fear.
Stop playing Nintendo style.
Let this suffice.
I dunno? Maybe switch to a pure PVP server for a new challenge or just find a new game as you seem to have exhausted all the content in CE. There are a multitude of zombie/survival games you could try or maybe Funcom's upcoming Dune game. Good luck to you and your friends.
Cheers.
We did join a PVP server, however, they dropped gods on us because we were the new outsiders and they had already worked out their own stale politics with each other.
That was when we switched over for a few months of 7 Days to Die because a new major version had come out.
