In ARK you download the entirety of the map so it's not compressed hence the 200GB (which is why conans size is smaller) download it's supposed to help with performance and loading things in.
the only way to change this is by hosting a private server from G-Portal.
Ark co-op has tethering as well. It isn't any different.
Besides.. why are you recommending them literally the worst hosting service that DEFINITELY doesn't allocate enough RAM and CPU power to run a server decently, when there are dozens of others that do a better job at it? :P
Just curious.
(Also, it has absolutely nothing to do with the game installation size or how the map is compressed or isn't.. Ark is big.. because Ark is big, that's pretty much the jest of it.)
