Solo player

Hello people, i would like to ask if this game is even playable as a solo player. Will building a base be an excruciatingly painful experience give nthat the materials needed are a lot and the hands for them are few :P ?

just build a solo base if you gonna build a massive castle for 1 person then yes it will take ages

You can change harvesting rates to compensate for playing solo if you want to.

As long as you keep your tools up to date, you can easily build a decent sized base solo. If you try to build a large base with stone and iron tools, it will be painful. If you try to build a huge base on an official server, it will likely be reported and admin deleted.

PvE - normal, PvP - problems.

imo broken and unplayable because respawn is always instant when you leave an area.

Playing on an Official server solo is fine. I've been doing it for years.
I've built a bunch of towers castles and villages, and have over 50 thralls.

The important thing is don't be in too big a hurry in the early stages.
Build a small camp, find out what you can kill, and do it over and over as your level goes up.

You will level quickly if you just stick with it.

Build your first camp near water, as soon as you get to where you can kill Crocs just keep doing it, and harvest the resources you need as you move around right from the start.

Once you get your benches build keep making the best equipment you can as you level.

Once you can train a thrall it gets easier.

I felt a sense of accomplishment building a whole city with shops, docks and my tower of doom all on my own.

Now at level 60 I get in and just live my character's life, hunting, exploring, maintaining and expanding my city.
