is it worth? depends on you and your taste
high price for complete game? do you mean the base game or are you counting all the dlcs?
all dlcs except sypha are cosmetics and sypha is a different map with some different things to play in a different server from the base one.
so idk all I can say if you are not sure, try checking someones stream watch them and ask them doubts.
So you can play the base game for like 5 euros. Thats worth it if you like the genre.
(I just like to stay away from cheaters and bad server admins)
Like it has been stated already, there's absolutely no need to spend money on passes or DLCs. There are 1000s of mods available free of charge to alter and/or enhance your gameplay. Find yourself a cheap key and enjoy the game.
"Better Thralls" allows up to 10 followers
"Thralls are Alive" thralls can work out on training dummys and build strength and grit, and can gather resources like wood bark stone iron brimstone ect ect,
"Extended Leveling Redux", allow up to level 180 with 40 stat points per stat
"EEWA" Endgame Extended Weapon Arsenal, which add new end game weapons and Ascension system, level up to 180 ascend back to level 1 and learn one of 7 Constellation Perks, with Trait and Courage buffs its a great mod
Most games of this genre don't give u any type of companions or thrall, you have to go completely solo or with friends.
Becuz of that, much of the game's contents such as bosses and dungeons are doable as solo player. But the game is still quite challenging.
Combat is visceral, bloody and meaty.
It's definitely worth it as a solo player, like me, to actually experience this type of genre without having to schedule playtime with friends.
Other than that, there are tons of mods to spice up your game.
Good modding community is always a plus, and if people like a game enough to form a modding community around it, that means there must be something good in there.
Yeah I'm familiar with sandbox survival.
Thanks for mod recommendations!
Yeah, I think the devs of Children of the Forest(Or something like that) have learned that lesson, and they too implemented a companion.
Also blood and gore is always a plus in my book.
Well thanks for all of your replies, they did help me to make up my mind about the game.
I have put in time in regular servers; played co-op servers and played solo. To me either co-op or solo is the best. Regular servers tend to be too cut-throat for my tastes. Playing single gives you a lot of freedom to experiment. Especially since you can modify your server setting to suit your play style. Co-op, 2 or more, is fun because you can share your experience with others without the drama of pvp (and cheaters at times).
Hopefully it wont break my game later on when I will instal the mods.
So far I'm happy with my purchase.
Many of the excellent mods can be hard to manage and work at least for myself and I still struggle to find out how to. I have yet to re-log in to discord due a new laptop malfunction but there are a lot of very savvy people with great knowledge of the game.
Vanilla or modded it is a great game, being milked for all the revenue return that be gotten but what company in an field isn't into maximizing profits. For the individual it represents great value for hundreds and hundreds of hours of entertainment. Best game I have played for stunning visuals, and realistic everything. Wait till a wolf jumps you from cover with sound effects ,and blood. I can't state here what my reaction was but a lot in the game should get the adrenaline pumping.
