I am correct. We host a LAN-only dedicated server and connect via LAN ip only. Yet we cannot play the game due to an "Authentication Error". Sometimes we can connect, and then get kicked due to "Authentication Error".
This is a consistent problem with piracy. Pirates get a smooth, hassle free experience that has no issues like this. Meanwhile Paying customers get the shaft and constantly have to deal with DRM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, being locked out of their games, and "Authentication Errors".
You have no idea about the reality of gaming if you think I am wrong here.
We do not own your own software. In a better world, we would own our software we purchased. But nope - Welcome to Capitalism, working as intended.
Game developers just want gamers to eat ♥♥♥♥ 24/7. The sad thing is gamers will open their wallets anyway even after decades of abuse and things getting worse every year.
The only lesson gamedevs teach smart people is that the only ethical and practical thing is to pirate so you aren't ♥♥♥♥ on constantly. The irony is many people actually purchase games directly, but then pirate them to get a superior experience. It's so sad.
