Exchanging the oboli coins for resources also doesn't net you anything interesting. You get iron and tar which are easy enough to get on your own, and then steel which isn't that hard to make. You also get highland berry seeds but there's not much you can use those for. You have a rare chance to get aloe seeds, but those are already easy enough to get. You have a chance to get hops seeds but again seeds in general aren't very useful outside of squishing them for oil or growing plants for mixing drinks. There's a very rare chance to get golden lotus seeds, which otherwise can only be found in the volcano but there's only like two potions you can make using the golden lotus and neither are particularly game-changing.
The thralls are probably a bit more OP but they're also kind of disappointing. You don't get any bearers at all; just two fighters and two archers. Worker thralls likewise don't include all types as you get one carpenter, one alchemist, one entertainer, one tanner, one smelter, and one armorer. The carpenter is a builder and the armorer is a scoutwright. This leaves out taskmaster (the most useful worker thrall there is IMO), blacksmith, cook, sorcerer (admittedly kinda useless), priest, and any carpenter/armorer thralls that have specializations other than builder/scoutwright.
The unique weapons are obviously very OP and that is concerning. The armor set is less so as it's not nearly as good as some base game sets. Stats-wise it's identical to the basic medium armor you get in early game. Requires the same materials, too. But the worst thing is probably the black-blood tools which are literally better than every other tool type in the game. It's kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, actually.
Ultimately there is still a grind involved as you don't get everything you need but it definitely speeds the early game along much faster, which might be good for impatient veterans but bad for noobs. Luckily you don't *have* to participate in the head-hunting activity. It's purely optional.
And a potion of endowment.
(I wish it worked on boobs)
and why would you care if they'r corupted or not , there are explosive arrows , sumoning spiders from jar thanks to zath , tralls have 10*player atribute so +25% to dmg means nothing when you have to sacrefice 50%HP and SP , only usefull spells are gathering resources and ice bridge.
so what advantages we'r talking about?
I agree about the PVP thing, these games are often slanted toward offense.
Coincidentally we also dealt with this in the Olden Times of Ye Olde MMOs, i.e. EQ, where you HAD to have uninterrupted four hour stretches just to play. I'll get back to it when I retire :)
