Why does every NPC attack me? How can i tell the difference between friendly and non friendly?
god this game is odd i have so many questions. I feel alot of the online materials are outdated and refer to things that i cant see refer too anywhere else anymore.

Should NPC people take a ton of dmg always seem to aggro me?

Generally almost all npc thralls are hostile, there are some neutral ones that will react if you attack first (most prominently found in the city of serpermeru) and some that you can talk to to learn emotes, feats or lore from, finally there are some traders as well.

If you are exploring and you come across a thrall camp they will always attack you, essentially if they start to scream and shout things as you approach they are probably after your blood.

As for their health and damage it really depends on the part of the map you are in, generally on the exiled lands map the further north you go the harder the enemies become, for a basic idea thralls get stronger depending on their faction, exiles are weak (normally equipped with coarse cloth and stone weapons), then darfari (normally equipped with darfari armour and occasionally iron weapons), then black hand (black hand armour and steel weapons) and so on.

As you improve your own equipment and weapons the early thralls will become much easier to deal with. If you are still fighting with stone weapons try to upgrade to iron when you get the chance, even though the damage numbers on the weapon may not seem significantly higher, the actual effect is quite pronounced, some armours will also increase your damage with weapons.

Hope this helps.
Well im playing solo since i'm not interested in rust style pvp right now and want to relax and take my time without that worry.

I started in the south of the map and ran to the middle area just so i could have shorter travel times to in theory anywhere. Should i have hung around in that desert for a while longer then?

Also wtf is this event going on?

With iron weapons and basic armor you should be good to explore/fight anywhere south of the savannah/green zone(asgard). Once youve got basic armor and steel weaons you can do everything comfortably besides the volcano/ice area, those take seperate protections for temperature.
Possibly, but you will probably travel north as you get higher level anyway, since several late game materials are only found there. Unless you find the area overwhelming going back south will probably not be needed.

You can right from the get go head to and play in the frozen north but it is a lot harder if you are unprepared, normally i try to get at least steel weapons before tackling anything north of the desert. I guess it depends on how much of a challenge you want, but there is nothing to stop you from going where you want at any level.
If the NPC draws their weapon and charges or fires arrows arrows, they are hostile. But seriously, there are only a few areas with non-hostile NPCs --Sepermeru in the West, a few merchants among the pirates on the eastern shore, and a small area of the volcano. The event NPCs with the caravans are not hostile, but the fighters will join in any nearby fights. Talk with them or view the video in the launcher to find out more.

Choosing the center of the map for your first base was a wise move.

Yea I usually understood when they drew their swords, but sometimes i would get right next to them and it meant i had to run off miles to get them to leave me alone.

Ive finally got leather and now better armour and weapons so its a much better experience.

That looks like the Sacrifice Interrupted encounter. Best to have a strong thrall with you.

Stay away from that one until you are level 60 and have a T4 warrior. After the 3 NPCs outside the summoning circle are killed, two demons are spawned. Once those are dead, a storm boss shows up that spawns larvae that also attack you. Also, make sure to have plenty of heals on you and load up the thrall with food.

What he is saying I thought I was good the demons were easy then even in dragon void armor and a dragon bone ax the boss was a slog to deal with, without a good thrall it tore through my zombies like they were paper
Get a horse. It makes your travels more relaxed and you can put on her lots of useful materials like ironstone or black ice

i encounterd a black armored peep in a cave close by noob area where you first have some fat elite mob then you go underwater and poof a mob with 3 scull and at a altar ---- the black armor peep.... elite was already annoiying but such a high dif mob so in the noob are i jumpted in the water when he wanna to attack me :P

That cave has a bit of a secret in it, the black armoured guy is quite tough but if you can kill him he drops something interesting, without spoiling too much you place that item nearby in the cave and get a reward.

I'll have to take a look into that, I built an animal cage but my base location is awful so getting wood/plant fibre is a pain in the ass. I like g7, right by the thin stone bridge. Sandwiched between bugs and savages

Hmm G7 seems the good place for farming ichor. Man for horses I think you need stables, if you meant 'animal pen' it only works for keeping foals alive, not for growing them to adult horses
