So, started the new challenges... no idea how to survive an encounter, or even start one.. is it something special? Head hunting, how do you go about that? Are there places to visit that have the bounties up? Lastly... cats, I picked up a wild cat, stuck it in a pen and nothing. I can't set it out, anyone know how to get a cat pet?.

I believe encounters are the elite sorcerer enemies but i have also not found one yet.

Headhunting is simple, find any sorcerer npc on the map, kill them and loot their skull or knock them out and drag them to one of the caravans on the map, usually located near thrall camps, if you have skulls put them on the altar if you have a live sorcerer put him in the cage on the cart.

I suspect that the Witch Hunt encounters are not coming up on live servers. The old events spawn first and immediately respawn if cleared. I did the Witch Hunter encounters in single player in TestLive before Chapter 2 went live. They aren't too difficult.

Placing a feral can in a pen with some meat should get you a house cat. House cats just wander around once placed. You can put one on follow, but it doesn't obey orders. Spoiler: It's a cat.

the cat wasn't showing up on the crafting menu, will try again with different food. Thank you guys for your responses.

When they are done taming just move them to your hot bar and place them like you would a piece of furniture.

I did sorcerer event at volcano yesterday so atleast they spawn somewhere =). I've seen events happening at Sepermeru and North end of Bridge of Betrayer (just south of Black Keep). Bridge one is same as it was chap 1, Sep was new and quite hard, though I was lvl 50 when I tried it and failed miserably =D

Witch Hunt events: the Demonologist near the Shrine of the Oracle, the Illusionist near Stargazer Camp, the Necromancer in the Ruins of Xullan, and the Druid at the Passage.

The Illusionists is the easiest. Just locate him, beat on his shield, and then kill him after it collapses. Once he is dead, the others disappear.

The other encounters are still the same. I am not sure how the two types work. I have yet to see all of them at the same time. It is either the Witch Hunt or the regular encounters, not both. Make sure you collect their skulls. There is a reward for them.

I think only the Witch Hunter encounters are spawning now. That's all I've seen the last couple of days. The Witch Hunter encounters are harder than the Grave Matters event at the Summoning Place, but generally easier than the other old events.

Encounter is new name for an event. There are specific events around, depends on the map. They are fairly difficult encounters, you want to be tier 4.
On exiled lands
- "tentacles in the sky" event at Scavengers berth. You can see this miles away when it spawns due to the phenomena in the sky.
- summoner event in front of the Summoning place (kill obelisks, then kill summoner)
- summoning circle event at the north end of betrayers bridge (near Black keep, frozen north)
- The egg event north end of Flotsam (the pirate place on the sea shore to the east, jungle)

Theres probably some more, I heard of a new event added which I dont know about

Head hunting: either kill sorcerers and collect their skull from their inventory and sell it to bounty hunters; or drag an unconscious sorcerer to the bounty hunting camps which you can spot because they have the giant prison wagon.

edit: I think I found a new event: theres a demonic looking event between volcano obelisk and shrine of the oracle. The huge dudes look like they came from the predator movie.

The Sacrifice Interrupted appears at two locations.

1. At the north end of the Bridge of the Betrayer. Map Grid: F-11, this is just south of an Oblisk
   
2. South of the Bilgewater Break Camp. Map Grid I-7

The Snake Cult Caravan appears to the northwest of Buccaneer's Bay on the beach. Map Grid N-7
A Grave Matter at the entrance to the Summoning Place. Map Grid G-5
The Portal to Yuggoth appears at Scavengers Berth. Map Grid I-5

Chapter 2 Encounters

The Demonologist near the Shrine of the Oracle. Map Grid H-13
The Illusionist near Stargazer Camp. Map Grid C-11
The Necromancer in the Ruins of Xullan. Map Grid F-11
The Druid at The Passage. Map Grid K-9
Blow Back is in Sepermeru. Map Grid B-7, near where you appear when exiting The Wine Cellar after finishing the final boss.

So far they are not showing for me on my server but I have noticed that the old ones have gone. Will keep a look out for them over next week. Thank you for the map co-ordinates.

Apparently there was a bug recently where the events were not spawning. They claimed to have fixed them, and I did see an event at the shrine of the oracle since then. I assume they may have adjusted the frequency when they appear, as when they first were introduced to exiled lands there was like an event every hour or something.

I can’t find the Harness of the Mad Prophet. Found all the other pieces. Finally looked up online and it seems there should be a trader that sell the harness in the Volcano camp but I was at that camp previously at least three times, and the only trader I found over there was a slaver. Bug? The armor set is garbage of course but a collector in me is fit to be tied. Must… have… the harness…

I had it appear as a buyable item from bounty hunter merchants

Bounty hunter merchants? What’s that? I bought some items (the Mad Prophet armor pieces and a couple of legendary weapons which I frankly did not need) from the Khitan caravan traders with the new obolus coins after completing a number of various demonic Witch Hunt encounters, submitting numerous skulls and putting some sorcerers into cages.

I am unaware of any other bounty hunters. Please point me to these bounty hunters location, I would be eternally grateful. Because the Khitan camp in the Volcano (near the Witch Hunt encounter) is missing the merchant selling the harness. The only merchant there is the one who offers thralls, as I said in my previous post.

I think this is a bug. There should be at least 3 merchants there, not just a slaver.
