Battleye?
Can I install this later if I decide to continue playing Conan Exiles?

What do you think of Battleye? I have never heard of it before, but it sounds very invasive. Are there any BUGs to be aware fo with it?

I use Nexus Mod Manager for Skyrim and Fallout 4. Does Battleye consider those Mods to be hacks?

I am also reading Battleye conflicts with Norton Anti-virus and other AV programs with some games that use Battleye.

So I think I will just play Conan Exiles solo in singleplayer at least for now with no Battleye. I hate Bugs caused by third party systems cause they can be impossible to figure out and they never get fixed.

battleEye is nothing to worry about unless you are doing something wrong, so for 99% of gamers its perfectly fine.
@OP the rules are simple, IF you use ANY kind of multiplayer cheats on your Computer no matter in wich game , then DONT install Battleye and play ONLY on servers with Battleye turned off (there are tons), because Battleye does GLOBALLY mark you as cheater if you have ANY multiplayer hack on your machine wich is totally right and good, thats why as said, cheater persons should play on non Battleye servers only.

I've never used a cheat, but I don't trust Battleye to know that either.

I think the singleplayer of Conan Exiles is all I want anyway. I still don't see what Conan Exiles has to do with Conan and the Hyborioan Age though. Unless these are Hyborian Age crocodiles or something. We'll see what happens, but no Battleye. Not that interested in PvP by Funcom after the AoC kibosh. All the AoC PvP servers died and Battleye wouldn't have changed that. They keep Fury server running, but only 30-50 players on it. AoC pvp died due to PvP gear splitting the player population into two seperate groups instead of having PvP be something for everyone.

However, if they ever make AoC II, sign me up, just don't add PvP gear this time.

That's what SONY said about SecuRom. What a mess that turned out to be. The few things Battleye has in its favour is that they're completely up-front about it being there and you're not forced to use it... and it's easy to get rid of.
the best thing today is a Xbox X or Playstation 4 Pro, there are no anticheat needed because on console there is no cheat. simple :D

Battleye is not a problem. I was just looking for information before installing. It only affects Conan Exiles or other games that utilize it, so I was told. You can also uninstall it later with no problem I was told. Only bug I have heard of is it sometimes detects malware as a cheat, but get Malwarebytes or something to remove that.

Gamers - "We want anti-cheat! Cheats are getting out of control!"

Developers - "Ok, we got you guys."

Gamers - "What is this 3rd party install?"

Developers - "Well I mean these guys spent years on these anti-cheat, you really thought we were gonna hire a whole new team and wait years for them to develop a new one, then continue to pay them so they update it throughout the years? Well no we hired another company for that."

About all you really need to know. xD

If you play single-player or on unofficial servers that don't require it, you don't even have to install or use Battleye.
