Age of microtransactions

So how are you guys feeling on this new age after giving over 150 for the game already if you've bought all of the DLC?

I got my moneys worth from the game, so I will no longer be here to support the predatory trend of MTX stores and Battlepass (just waiting for my partner to let go of our Private Server so I can clean my hands of this game forever). I guess in a way, supporting this company through buying cosmetic DLC was sending them the wrong message and here we are.

I certainly don't want to be here to give a free pass to the free loaders who expect whales to supply them with free future content (nothing is ever free, someone always has to pay). Best let the game crumble into dust, if they cant get enough whales buying their ♥♥♥♥ the game will likely go on life support.

As far as MTX goes, I'm going to wait and see what they offer and for how much. If I think there's a cool looking MTX that I want to apply to something for £1, then yes I'd be happy to grab that. The battle pass I'm less enthusiastic about but we'll see.

That is kind of where I am right now. I guess I'll move on? I'd rather not but I won't support FOMO predatory practices.

From what they've shown it will be well above $1 for anything. Lowest listed was $2 for a banner and $18 I think was the highest for a table.

Regardless how you feel about it, its an important topic to discuss since people seem to think that nothing can be done and that we should all shut-up and let it happen. Even if it does nothing to change whats going to happen in this game, at least some people out there might wake up to whats happening in modern gaming (in general) and hopefully they'll be able to avoid such developers in the future who are just out to treat their playerbase like they're made of money.

You chose to let my 'crying' bother you enough to elicit this really senseless exchange. Maybe take your own advice and go do something 'productive' rather than engaging in a silly argument about someone else's opinions about a topic clearly you don't care about.

Talking about whats happening is always important, because they can't say they didn't know if people are talking about it and posting reviews based on this decision. I've already stated that this wont stop whats going to happen, that's not the goal, the goal here is to have a conversation about these types of monetization practices and hopefully warn some people from investing further into a company that no longer values them as players and instead, as consumers.

Also, you don't have to agree with me! Wow! Who knew, right? You could absolutely love the ♥♥♥♥ out of BP and MTX (FOMO etc). That's great for the company, Im sure they appreciate your patronage. But that's also why its important to have these discussions because it shows a different range of opinions on the topic. Its not going to be just one way.

If you are trying to stop these discussions Im just going to assume it's out of fear, because you don't want people to get scared off so they wont support the game anymore and you wont get your free content. If you read OP's question in a neutral way, you might not become so defensive about it.

BTW trying to insult me isn't going to shut me up. Just thought I would warn you now so you know that I'm probably not going away just because you want me to.
