I would recommend picking up the first Strength perk if you haven't already, as that will double the concussive power of all blunted weapons, including those arrows.
You'll probably have to resort to using the truncheon.
Take your blunt arrow - it does 1 damage, 20 blunt/knockout damage.
Now take your bow - The good one adds 25 damage to arrows. That makes the blunt arrow do 26 damage and 20 blunt, turning it decidedly lethal. The cheap old hunting bow adds 5 damage, making the blunt arrow do 6 damage and 20 blunt, and it will knock out before killing.
hen let them return to their spawn site, give them a min. then continue shooting. They recover their HP quickly.
