If i remember correctly, the devs said in their livestream, that they remove attribute-bonuses on gear and replace it with more specific bonuses.
For example instead of +strength there will be a damage bonus for strength weaponry on gear.
The goal is to make armour and weapons more than just tools to gain attributes and to remove variable attributes since that wouldn't work well with the new corrupted attributes.
