They still are broken. I can use mine, but they stiil do too much physical damage. Even with no agility and the crappy bow.
Yeah I would use the crappy bow, blunted arrows, blunt attachment on bow, wear Hyena armor, and eat a meal that increased concussive damage, and then, and only then could I bring down a T4 thrall ... about half the time. Without all of that there's no chance at all.
I have had better luck with that, but if you want to play an archer, and you have points in Authority so that your thralls goad the enemies to attack them, you'll want to stand back and use a bow while they take the heat.
