I'm willing to bet there's also things in this game (currently) that are useless in PVE, but are intended for PVP lol. I've seen this sort of thing before, and it blows, NGL.
This game is marked as being SP, or MP, (can be played both ways) but they seem PVP biased from what I've seen here, which is not good... unless you're just PVPing haha.
OOF, I was hoping i was wrong haha.
Bleed attacks have a base damage, and damage over time. A fire-based spell could do the exact same thing. isn't it razor arrows that cause bleed and damage at range? Fireball spell.
Power shot, or power cast. Change ammo, or change reagents. Both are limited.
Melee? A magical form to change into that does the same thing as a weapon. As many forms as there are weapons. Claw weapons? A beast with claws that does the exact same damned thing lol. Your weapon becomes usless over time, and there's a time limit on the form. Or, you repair the weapon, or use another reagent to extend the timer, or start it over w/e.
The armour you wear is the armour you wear. It would be hidden by the magical form you've taken, but you could counter that and reveal the players form/armour with the reveal illusion spell.
if players complain about this kind of suggested setup, that's easily countered by play the way you want to play. You could even mix and match. The claim that you can be a sorcerer, a barbarian or something in between would have more validity than it currently has by a long shot. You wouldn't have to commit to one or the other. Some people would prefer bows, others spells. Others melee weapons, or magical fighting forms or w/e. Or, anything in between. Simple changes to a messed up system.
They could even take shortcuts to do things having all the combat features already there to a degree. Less work. NPC's could also be using these spells on you too. Wouldn't be tough. When they get knocked out, any form they have would revert back to their base-form, if they're using that magic.
Well, it's always been a part of the Conan universe, even in the movies. Just isn't as much to sorcery as their could be, ATM, IMO. I'm honestly more concerned about the state of the bugs lol.
Besides the whole Conan theme is just lazily slapped on the game because Funcom happened to have rights for that, so it's not based on the actual Conan lore.
Luckily we arent conan so it doesnt matter what conan thinks about sorceries. dumb comment is dumb
How to say idk anything about conan lore in one sentence.
& yeah this games not about Conan specifically, so saying sorcery is out of place here is just dumb. Maybe you don't like it, and that's fine. But you can't just disregard multiple movies that clearly have sorcery in them.
