i went with war party and i like it but i did try the well trained and that is also good depends on what u want to do with ur thralls i have put 5 pts in corrupted on authority so that is good ...i wearing redeemed armour my thralls have redeemed and voidforged gear with legendary weapons and i think it good spec as i can do red dragon and the green dragon with my bloke and he spec differently then myself.... if i ur asking my view i say war party. try them out see what u prefer
well-trained easily

well trained for sure if you are using them to fight. If you are farming then war party, Well trained gets +20 to all stats when you have them on follow.

Both can be good choices. Personally I go for Well Trained - your thrall getting +20 to all their stats makes them very effective in combat.

Trainer for fighting, war party for utility.

well trained hands down for damage/durability.

Well trainer is superior in my opinion

I prefer war party. Yes, their weaker but if one goes down I still got another

I put two doors in all the paths in my many castles so I can move while a thrall is blocking one door. Don't want to redesign to add a third door.

War party for leveling two thralls at once...

Keep in mind war party puts you often in a disadvantge because the thrall ai is trash and they often body block each others blows. (Especially if one of your thralls has a shield).

As others stated, well trained is hands down the better option if you want a fighting thrall due to the +20 to all its stats and that is on top of the +200% damage you get out of the authority points spend. This latter part is lost with war party as well.

The +20 to all stats could be overcome by war party if you have your thralls leveled up, the loss of damage because of the authority stats though is not.

My opinion, well trained is a good bet if you want the old pre-3.0 feeling where you basically sit there and pick your nose while your thrall solo's the entire game. I ran that build on Test Live mostly before launch. I am running war party now on live and have really been enjoying it. With full authority and good thralls I am generally standing behind two 6K thralls giving me around 12,000 HP of thralls which is more than my single well trained one. In good armor they are very tough and the fact that there are two of them means they dish out DPS twice as fast than waiting for a single thrall to swing. I can also stack multiple debuffs giving one a mace and the other daggers for example.. During large pulls they can better divert multiple opponents than my one single thrall could do.

True they are not solo monsters but they are still very viable and I like the variety. I can take a tank and a support like a dancer for regens and corruption or a bearer for storage. I have run with two archers as I am tanking and have seen good killing power from them as they are not, as someone mentioned above, stumbling over one another.

In the end, what is 'best' is what you like. Try them both, don't do something just because some people on a forum told you to. Have fun and enjoy.

Well trained no question... Do you actually understand how nerfed the thralls are if you pick war party? You loose all player wearing thrall increase damage, all thrall damage increase from points spent in Authority ( Thats right you spend points and it removes the benefit entirely) and I think there was 1 more thing... you lose like +250% to +300% Thrall damage increase... War Party is Way to nerfed IMO.
