Star metal ore

I can't find star metal, i already searche everything for almost 1h and i don't see any rock with some smoke coming out of it, and i never saw the meteor shower as well

Do i have a way to augment my chances ? a mod or something?

If its a single player game, you have to wait around in the appropriate area (the north west snowy corner of the map, or around the center of the island for Siptah) for a meteor show to hit. There is a chance for one every 30 minutes, and if one doesn't happen the next one will me more likely to happen.

Make sure to bring some explosives. Explosive jars, explosive arrows, and demon-fire orbs will all work.

hi, i had the same problem. But it's solved since a while. You can start the meteor rain with Pippi User server mod

Yep. Same problem on my SP Exiles lands. Luckily my Siptah char have a million spawned. You need something like Pippi to spawn a meteor for yourself. Pippi good for alot of other things too, so very much worth it.

i will try the mod, i was waiting and nothing happen, (more than an hour lol)

I cant find too. in single player game.. this sucks very over 4 hours of searching

You should wait at least 1 ingame day plus random number of hours in spawn area until meteors start falling (in single player)

Here is how I got tons of star metal ore. I built a small base, just a little hut really to get out of the cold, up on the Frozen Slopes. I hang out there, or maybe kill mastodons and cats while waiting until there is a meteor shower. You'll want to have your explosives with you, or in the hut. If you leave the area I think the meteors despawn. I know they do if you logout and then come back. If you just go to the area and search for them I don't think you'll ever find any. My guess is in SP meteor showers don't happen unless you're nearby.

i don't play it anymore, but i used a mod to force it to spawn, use it as well ^^

In the single-player game, you can also use this admin command, which saves waiting around for one to happen.

I just farm the three skull crocs and dismantle the legendary gear from their chest. Got more star metal bars than I could ever need and I've never mined for star ore. So there are other options.

You can also go to Mounds of the dead, and build small outpost to make thralls from mobs there. Most of the fighters there have star metal weapons which you can take from thralls after enslaving and then use dismantling bench to get ingots, or use those weapons yourself.
