Fatal Error when connecting to private Server
Hello Community,

i have issues with an fatal error. I hope you can help me out.

What happens: When i try to connect to our private server, i get a fatal error in the loading screen. However, at the moment the problem appears consistantly, but in the last days i was able to connect from time to time (and did not crash while playing)
The server admin gets this notification in the log "ConanBattlePass:Error: Failed to Update BattlePass Challenge. Invalid player controller reference."

What i tried: Re-installed game, re-installed mods (both fully), restart the server, de-activate firewall and antivir. Check game files.

Additional Info: The Issue does not occur on public servers. The server runs with mods. Other players do not experience this issue.

Validating files has worked for 3 of us.

Sorry, forgot to mention, that i've tried this. Disabling mods works for the moment, but wouldn't be a permanent solution.

I've been having random fatal errors since I bought the game a month ago.
I believe the problem is with the Funcom Live Services.

I had 3 back to back fatal errors just starting the game up today,(even though it ran fine yesterday albeit a crash or two) and as soon as I get to the main menu and the game tried to connect to funcom, CTD Fatal Error... 3 times in a row.

After Deleting the FuncomLiveServices plugin folder and starting the game up I got asked if I wanted to Disable the Funcom Live Service features for Conan.
After clicking yes to that I was able to get to the main menu of the game just fine, no fatal error and I could even join the online server that is hosted by the cluster I play on with no issues what so ever.

I don't know how to re-enable the live features nor what disabling them removes from the game but it doesn't appear to affect anything important to me at least and I can play the game fine now.

all you have to do is remove all mods and then let them download from the server.
As said i've tried to fully re-install the game and mods. As for the moment disabling the "Pippi" mod and "Pack Rat" mod worked.
Thx for the advise Teratus, i will check this out, if the crash happens to return!

What is the "launch" button?

I have tried all possible fixes for that certain crash now and none worked for good. I am pretty sure, that the game has no proper and accurate crash-report and in fact all of our fatal errors are caused by different things and have nothing in common.
Maybe mine is mod related. My mates do also experience errors, but restarting again works there.

I am experiencing something resembled, from 3 days ago, many of us were having crashes when the loading screen to connect to a priv server was about to finish.

But since today, it is constant and i cannot find a way to fix it...
Tried everything.
Also it happens to any server i try to connect, except if i try to join my own singlerplayer.
With the same modlist they use in the server!
Also tried to connect to other servers i never played before and got the same crash and a new message that told me something like:" Your char has been away for too much time" when i never entered there or created a char, xD.

Hm, the only thing ive read new is what Teratus said, i am going to try it.

Launch a single player game first then quite to main menu then go to your dedicated server, I have same issues and yet its the only way around that i've found

If you want to avoid fatal errors. In your Mods folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Mods)(My location) copy your servermodlist.txt and rename it modlist.txt -- Launch Conan from Steam -- Using the launcher you can check mod updates such as (NameHere 4.4.1) updated to 4.4.2 but in the launcher even though I downloaded the update it still says 4.4.1 -- Just unsub and resub in this instance -- Now from the Launcher use Launch button not Continue -- Now load into any single player with (your mods are active) -- Exit to Main Menu after it loads -- Now join your server -- This has 100% worked to avoid all fatal errors for me. It doesn't prevent the stupid mods from not updating which is why I added that in the steps.

What Teratus said did not work for me... In the end i went to try the last thing i wanted to... Reinstall it all, and it worked -o-
