The corruption from corrupting your attributes is permanent (unless you rest your attribute points) and you can't drop below that. There is no way to keep it at exactly 20% permanently, as you can always gain more (up to a maximum of 50%) but you can keep it from dropping below that.
I trtied the corrupted spec but hated it, felt really bad compared to just basic authority. i just want sorcery for teleporting in future, slow fall and most important the flying bat. i think i only need 20 for them all so dont want to drop hp below that.
Slow Fall doesn't require corruption to cast, but Call of Nergal (the bat one) does require 20%. There is no teleportation spell. There is a Transportory Stone structure you can build, but I don't know if it requires corruption to use. The wiki doesn't mention it, so probably not. (Edit: It appears that its just adds to your corruption when used, but doesn't require corruption to use it.)
If you don't want to change your perks, only corrupt 4 attribute points in a single attribute, and do that for 2 attributes.
If you would rather just not have the corruption permanently, there is a corrupting brew you can learn to make. I don't know how much corruption each one gives you, but you can learn the recipe from interacting with a book in the Summoning Place (the main Darfari camp in the Exiled Lands). Since sorcery isn't something you can do in an emergency (it takes a bit of time), you will have time to drink a brew or a few before casting the bat spell.
Edit: All right, it seems like corrupting brew is a very small amount of corruption, about 1.5% based on a video I watched. So about 14 needed to get to 20%.
Would the sorc teleport or obelisks be better for me to unlock first? i watched a youtube video and apparently the sorc teleport debuffs you multiple times?
In order to get the sorcery teleporter, you need to unlock all the other sorcery stuff. Its the final unlock. Doing that requires killing several high level bosses (you need the black blood they drop) or to farm a lot of spell pages (spell pages of either type placed in a dismantling bench apparently gives black blood, which you need 100 of). Its an end-game thing.
The map room (the obelisk teleportation) is far easier to do. You can do it as early as level 15 (you need to unlock the alchemy bench to make one of the ingredients, and the firebowl cauldron to make another; both are unlocked at the same time), But you can only teleport to specific locations on the map, so is far more limited.
do your mount and followers travel with you?
