Can’t pick up baby animals!?

I will literally be standing on top of the baby, chasing it around etc. pushing “E” constantly to get the “sweet spot” and I cannot pick up the baby to tame it?! I cannot find anything in the forums, everyone gets the babies even if the baby does not disappear from the map, I do not get anything. Please help :(

happen to me also, seem like server lag situation, i spam E around the baby. and finaly i manage to snatch it
