how do you hatch a egg

i got a rocknose egg and was wondering if i need to put the egg in the pen to hatch or in my inventory? any help would be great

It's not so wrong what he says.

Put the egg in your pocket, wait until the expiration time ends and a new little pet will hatch.
If you put the egg in the compost until only a few seconds are left of the expiration time, you will save some time because a) the timer runs only when you are logged in and b) this timer is very long.

The expiration time in the description is a bit misleading in this case it rather describes the time until something slips out of the egg.

which point to build T3 pen? its increase chance to get more TOP animan and resource they give, and reduce timer or what?

so this list (in gamepedia) not full mb, i dont see any rocknoses at T3 at all...

if you unlock the planters, you also get a compost heap, you make it in your inventory and place it, then you use it like a container

What about spider eggs? I tried this and as soon as the timer ended it was a spider body dead

I put the rocknose egg in the compost and it turned into a rocknose baby than put it in the pet farm... you have to remember to take it out after it hatches
