How to beat the byatch called Rockslide?
Rockslide, the final boss of the Rocknose purge, also the one in the Fingerfang valley,
- super tanky
- enormous damage
- 360 degree cheater hitbox and massive range
- chases you down until your stamina runs out
- immune to many things

It seems the only way to kill it is to out-tank it with a heavy armored thrall and you shoot poison arrows steadily but slowly from miles away (rock get poisoned, how?). No strategy at all, just out-tank is all.
With the 3.0 thrall nerfs, I highly doubt any home defending thralls will stand a chance against this purge boss.

So how do you exiles fight this byatch?

PS. fandom says the regular ROCKNOSES can be found in the wilderness, but I can't find any. Also there's no wild regular Yeti, only one black boss Yeti. Any clues?

Rockslide is a major pain, but not too difficult to beat. Your thrall will spend a lot of time knocked down and it is hard for your character to safely get a blow in with the spin moves.

In a purge, multiple thralls can make short work of Rockslide. As in any purge, low tier, poorly leveled, lightly armored and unfed thralls may die.

High penetration and sundering help a lot against Rockslide and most bosses.

In 3.0, two or three non-follower top tier thralls should have no problem with Rockslide but you and your follower would be wise to help. A top tier thrall in 3.0 will have 4K HP, vs 6-7K pre-nerf. Even with basic heavy armor (c. 600 AC) a thrall might take 2K damage and would safely survive the fight with enough gruel.

Rocknoses are all over the map from the Shattered Springs to the Dafari and Black Hand areas. With a decent penetration weapon including stone clubs and mauls they are easy to beat and good experience for their level. They don't look like Rockslide. The ones that look like much smaller Rockslides are Living Magma. There is one just west of Rockslide and several in the volcano.

Well thanks for the answer! I feel a bit safer now sitting in my base.

Are we talking about the same ROCKNOSE? It seems what you referred to is the bison-looking, mineral-clad, half-hidden-in-ground, stone/iron/coal/brimstone yielding creature?
Because the game doesn't show names of your enemy, it's really hard to tell.

Your link to the Wiki has pictures of the old rocknoses. The model was updated a year or more ago. The horns are much smaller now and they come in different varieties--coal, ice, gold, etc.

Pretty sure that venom-infused daggers are still the fastest killing solution for any boss (with the exception of undead) in the game unless this was recently changed.

Thanks!
It's really confusing they still use the old model for the "taxidermied" rocknose replica and the rocknose head trophy. Thought these are some very rare mysterious creatures.
