The whole process is tedious if used for the oil production because you have to stay near your traps and presses for hours to produce enough oil.
Good news is you can now make tons of oil with a T3 alchemist, not just T4. As soon as I catch a decent alchemist I stop using traps. I usually make one advanced trap to catch fancy fish for decorations then remove that trap as well, lol,
However, Compost Bins (that have at least one "soil" in them), will just keep generating grubs, so it's not too hard to keep traps loaded up with bait.
That kinda depends on how much you need.
If you just need small amounts, you can Rhino Hide as drops from Blackhand guys. You should be able to fight them by level 25ish? Thereabouts. Start with the smaller camps.
There's a chest hidden along the river that frequently has Thick Leather in it.
Chests in Sepermeru often have it as well.
If you want larger quantities, you're going to need to go hunt some of the bigger animals yourself. For that ... I'd say at least level 40+ but it can depend on how good a Thrall you bring with you.
I second this. Don't bother with fishes and use an alchemist, bark and ichor instead.
Wait a second...
So crafting thralls matter again?
