Animal Pen

Since all the updating started a few days ago the Animal Pens have stopped working. We have reset the server several time, placed new pens. Nothing is fixing the problem.

Animal Pens work fine, all of them.

Animal pens need to be fix badly, I've spend an hour trying to place one on flat foundation and keeps telling me, "not enough contact with ground" then it tells me "overlapping with another object or terrain" it really needs to be fixed, i spent soo much time building a spot just to have to move in hopes this damn pen will place...

Fixed: i figured it out need about 200 foundations and be near water to place it

The "overlapping" thing can be caused by you the player being too close to the item you're trying to place. If you're in a SP game try using the "fly" console command and place from above to see if that fixes it.

@DarkFire i think its was because there is s small hill poking out where im building and the pen doesn't like it

There haven't been any updates these few days that I can see ? Are you sure about them? Running mods?

Ah yes, the hill will be the problem. I'd recommend building a platform out of foundation blocks that's just above the level of the hill and just big enough to fit the animal pen. You could build some steps down to ground level. Not ideal but hopefully will at least let you place the pen vaguely where you want it to be.

The good news is that once they are placed you can remove all of the extra floor or foundation pieces you had to place to get the thing to work. And water has nothing to do with it.
