''Debaucheries'' of Derketo'

I cannot imagine what rock you dev's are living under. Waaay too much time coding it seems.

Because you seem to have a very strange understanding of what ''Debauchery'' is. Being able to build a bar and a tavern with some dancing bint and a barrel or two is not my understanding of debauched. I have seen more debauchery in village pubs in the middle of nowhere.

Bad enough every game has to be so childish but Conan, at least, should be for mature grown ups.

No I am not talking about the dreaded P word which has puritans foaming at the mouth. But this is really really lame. Even the decoration is pretty boring.

I am off to tear down my shrine to Derketo. A pretty pathetic deity and no fun at all, I shall put her worshippers to the sword and burn down their walls and put them in the cages to rot. I have had more fun flirting at Costa Coffee.

I was a thumbs up but this is just pathetic. So I changed my recommendation. This could have had some personality at least. It is just pure profiteering from basically nothing. No value added whatsoever. Actually it took something away. Sorry, but that is the way I see it.

Short of putting in actual sexual animations, which would push the game into AO territory and off steam, what were you hoping for that isnt already covered (or uncovered as the case may be) elsewhere in the game?

They may also be playing it on the safe side knowing the community will provide in the form of mods.

Well considering all the sh*tty "graphic novel" anime games on Steam these days, AO wouldn't be a problem really. The pack in my opinion is really nice, just hate some of the clipping issues with some of the clothing. I do understand where OP is coming from, calling it "debaucheries" is indeed not very... err... representing of the DLC. Bit tame and safe but I suppose that's more to appease the console police rather than the PC crowd really.

Ah ya, forgot they rolled out to console too, but that version is already censored.
The graphic novels arent really a fair comparison, being 2d and mostly still images.
Only stuff like koikatsu or custom maid has 3d depictions of sex, which you need to download offsite patches to enable, and which are not nearly the graphics quality of CE.

But what I mean is, we already have alcohol, gambling by the bone dice, combat, arenas, drugs if you want to count stuff like the various lotus dust and potions...

Debauchery, noun, the excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures. What sensual pleasures, aside from explicit depictions of sex, are missing here?

I can think of two actually. Music being the first one. Whats a tavern, temple or palace without music? Missing something, thats what. If we are already comparing to other games, look at Starbound as an example. You can find all kinds of different instruments and players can play custom songs on them using ABC format, without mods. For Starbound its basically midi chiptunes, which fits with that games style. For CE, we already have standing harps and drums. We also have horns and gongs. Add in things like a lyre, flutes (carved from bone, same as the dice?), finger cymbals for dancers (jewelry?) and the like, get some quality soundbanks for them, and let players compose their own stuff.

The second is custom movements, along the same lines. Like ABC notation for music, come up with a simple text system for custom movements of a player skeleton and let the fanbase do the rest. The advantages over something like sexiles, which has probably sold more copies of CE than funcom would care to admit, would be every player on entire server wouldnt have to have it installed to use. Everything from custom death animations, taunts, dances (yes, including lap and horizontal), rituals, or the odd game of charades in a bar. Custom gestures, whistles or drumbeats could be used to coordinate battles.

After a hard day of hunting, you retire to the comforts of dancing thralls, good food, strong drink, and thick walls of stone and steel. Then you hear the drums start, coming from several directions around your fortress. You see a group of savages perform a war dance by torchlight, distracting you from the one planting an explosive at your rear wall. Then the assault begins.

Supporting the RP crowd is funcoms best move at this point, but they are doing it in tiny bits and trying to keep it on too tight of a leash. Something like this would give them an edge over other games out there. I keep seeing this game called Ark with nudity. This would be something Ark couldnt match. I cant really think of any game out there currently that could.

The niceties for the RPers and the tree hut foundations are AMAZING, but honestly I was expecting more. One thing that I think would be neat for the religions (differing in methods and practices per each) is sacrificing a thrall. Maybe it gives a bunch of manifestations and your primary resource for it relative to the thrall's level, or some other buff. Maybe Mitra degrades a thrall a rank or it ascends into the sky (cause they don't seem to be the most bloodthirsty). I'unno! But I would've hoped for Derketo sacrifices at the very least. I'm hoping the thrall system expands more in the future as I've seen a lot of potential for what they can achieve.

The content in the pack is nice, but I would agree, their idea of what "Debaucheries" are not to mention such things done in the name of Goddess Derketo is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooo tame.

I suspect Derketo would be very insulted if she were a real Goddess :D Fortunately the workshop has addons that make it at least more debauched, but really, I get they cant add sex to the game, but still, lapdances, more sexy stripper-esque routines or even just kisses and cuddles would be acceptable enough, it would be nice for RP purposes if there were interactions able to occur between players and Thralls/other players.

Maybe a whipping animation while a thrall is chained up...? lol

But since most of us who have darketto at this point probably got it by season pass, theres not really a unified message other than that gamers are bargain seekers.

At this point though, we shouldnt really be surprised that fc is once again more about sales pitch than delivery.
