GOG release now please!

I have the game here on Steam, but would dearly love even a crippled version to be released on GOG. Yes, just for fanatic single players. It is possible if they release the dedicated server and whatever else parts, DRM free.

I have not played the game much, but I was alerted that just recently, they added "true" offline support. Not sure what that means exactly, since I have been out of the loop, perhaps someone here will care to explain, but to me, without knowing the facts, and knowing that the game did allow a kind of offline mode before, this kind of sounds like maybe now it is "true" offline, and you can play the game forever even if Funcom vanishes. That would still leave reliance on Valve, obviously, so if my assumption is correct about this "new" offline mode, I'd prefer a GOG release, again, even if crippled so that only a solo instance can work. I just want to be able to solo "forever".

Again, I have the game here, but would buy again, a complete (all DLC) edition if released on GOG.


PS: Even if my news about a new/enhanced "offline" mode (or whatever) is wrong/nonexistent, the game is now DLCed to the max, years old, so it should get a GOG release in my humble opinion. ..and even if you can grab all files from Steam version and run it true "offline", I'd rather pay again for a sexy GOG release. I love preserving games, that's all. The trajectory for this (and any other) MMO game, will one day be server(s) shutdown and complete death. I just want a solo (DRM-free) official GOG copy to have and love, forever.

Just confirming that Conan Exiles will run with or without an internet connection now, as you heard. Yes it still needs to run through Steam, though Steam can be run in offline mode as well.
