Our ports are open, the same mods and the same load order. Any idea how to fix this?
I think the issue might be that the game authenticates every user through its own systems. Join attempts might also be routed through their services.
I base this assumption on observations during our attempts to troubleshoot the problem.
The joining client does not seem to realise when the host goes offline, this would at most take several seconds if the connection was actually direct and not routed through some kind of query/service, however this took minutes. Or more likely the connection attempt simply timed out, which means the client didn't even notice that the host was even existing.
The log files also mention no attempts of a client to join, though this might be default behaviour.
My guess is this is not something that is wrong with everyone's config etc, but with the services provided by Funcom.
If this issue resolves itself, it is most likely something on their end.
We also played for a couple of days without issues. I played around with some server settings today and then it stopped working, so I thought it might be about that. But the second player still couldn't connect with standard settings and old game files.
What I can contribute: mods really can't be the issue, because we're not running any :)
At this point I am 90% sure its an issue on their end, especially since folks seem to have it at a similar time plus what I stated above.
