1. have you gotten all the obelisks? You need those before you make a maproom.
2. do you have some of the odd skills (mountaineering, cartography, cooking, brewing, etc.)?
3. out of your thralls, do you have a cimmerian berserker? Get one! XD
4. Did you kill the witch queen? (its in the jungle, look it up on CE Wiki, bring a thrall) XD
5. are you farming star metal? DO you know where to get star metal? Do you know how to process star metal? You will need it as you level up.
6. I know you didn't get better armor... SO go to the black keep in the north, explore the black keep, battle a dark knight and learn legion armor and teliths sorrow. (bring booze and a good thrall for fighting) look it up on youtube Rottenjon has a walkthrough
7. after that go to the far north and explore the volcano!!! gold, obsidian tools and weapons, psycho cultists in crazy cloth armor. Theres much more. You think I gave something away? HAH! I told you nothing! XD
8. Explore the jungle. You will be glad you did and you are high enough in level to handle it... Catch a Komodo and use that as a pet in there. A salamander is better. XD
9. DId you go to Buccaneer bay?
10. Have you heard of "The GodBreaker"? when you are higher in level seek that out! XD you'll be glad you did.
Armor and weapons drop alot. I never even mentioned the Unnamed city which you will need to explore and defeat bosses there to get fragments you will need later. That is also your cartography skill there by the obelisk. You need that skill most of all if you intend to travel easily around the map...
I could write an encyclopedia on the game LOL I hope this helps you and GL2U
Sincerely, Kane the Cannibal. o/
Thanks, Exile with a Goal.
As for things to do, explore and test yourself against the foes in each new area. Make sure you put down a bedroll frequently. I suggest you travel to Sepermeru. Be sure and set your thrall to "guard me" first or he will aggro the entire city. It's a great place for thralls and free thick leather. Hint: look up
If you are looking for close crafting thralls near you, try Sinner's Refuge. It's only populated by Exiles but there is usually a T4 or two all the way in the back.
Do you want excitement such as enemies coming to knock on your door and burn down your house?
Or do you just want to live in peace?
Do you want to leave the Exiled lands to return home only to find yourself shipwrecked on the Isle of Siptah? Where does your luck go with your fate?
The choice is yours.
As Conan suggests, "Choose wisely".
Took you 280 hours to get to lvl 40? lol alrighty then....
Wow, a reply that not only contributes 0 to the conversation, but also goes out of its way to try and make someone else feel like crap. I bet you can't go anywhere with all the girls just throwing their panties at you all the time.
Now back to the thread. Hey OP you should look into setting up a wheel outside of Sinners Refuge. Lots of T4 thrall in there. Also, im assuming that since you are 40 and running out of ideas, you are on a PvE server. So you assuming you have the whole map to yourself and some DLCs under your belt, go out to a big open spot and let your creativity run wild. Build some astetic bases. Hell if Benny is such a good friend, get him to play with you. There is almost nothing that 2 people with thrall can't over come.
If you're at level 40 and still in the southern desert area, the starter zone, then just explore north or east until you find a new area. I spent way too much time in the starter zone when I was new to the game and I did find it a bit dull. Now I know it's worth exploring much earlier than I had, and that there's a lot to see and do beyond that initial desert zone.
No worries mate! And you're right, the memory isn't what it used to be. I almost got into an argument with the wife because I was CERTAIN that Rod Serlings name was Rod Sterling. I guess I figured he was made out of silver or something. I dunno, I think I'm a victim of my age too. But let's keep on swinging for the fence my friend, we're not out for the count just yet, eh?
Oh, and BTW, may I be so bold and to suggest (he said full of false modesty) you give a modded server a try. We run a server called Orion's Belt (PvE-C +18) and there is SO much to do, it often overwhelms some of our players...not that would happen to you, but we have excellent Admins that help guild our players from level 1 to level 300! plus we have quests, factions, professions, TONS of materials to build with, decorations, monsters, flying mounts, pets of every imaginal size, shape and creation...oh, and carrier bird's (pigeons, parrots, crows, eagles, etc.) that deliver mail to your base. Come see what life is like on a well administered highly modded server.
I play on this server but I never able to find it using the search function. If I am not allowed to post IPs, let me know. 172.106.131.133:30900
Personally, I am having a good time with the mods but I am a rookie, so much to learn about Conan Exiles
Edit: changed the IP to reflect changes
